I just received my Zoya Gilty Pleasures 18K Real Gold Trio Gift Box yesterday afternoon and I’m excited to have this set. I plan on reviewing all three colors individually over the next few days since I can simultaneously swatch them all in a single sitting. From a first glance, the set is a limited edition collection, so once all of the pre-orders were sold out, it’s gone forever.
This was definitely a guilty pleasure purchase for me. I had no intention of getting any more nail polish after Day Glow, because I essentially doubled my collection within the last month or so and I still am NO where close to finishing my reviews and accompanying swatches for my recent hauls. But after seeing swatches of Gilty, I contemplated getting it.
There are other brands that produce actual gold flake topcoats, such as Sephora by OPI. They sell the topcoat on its own for $30 or more, which for me, I wouldn’t be able to justify paying that much for a single polish. What set Zoya’s apart from the other brands was that it came in a gift box set with Raven and Purity. It was the same price as other brands, but you’re getting more for your money.
With that mindset and how I loved the swatches, I decided to pre-order the set. I wondered why Gilty wasn’t offered on its own since other brands were selling their gold flake top coats on their own. This was posted on their Facebook page:
“For those of you asking why we made a trio set instead of selling “Gilty” by itself? The answer is that “Gilty” by itself is $30 (it’s real gold) and other two colors and the gift box are free gifts and since it looked so beautiful together we wanted to give you a full set..Because we love you!”
I thought it was really nice of them to offer the set since they could have easily sold it on its own. The only thing I don’t like about the set is that you couldn’t pick the accompanying colors with Gilty. You’re stuck with Raven and Purity, which sucks if you already own either or both of those colors already. It didn’t affect me since I didn’t get either with my BOGO order, but the option would have been nice.
Keep an eye out for the reviews for the three colors in this set over the next few days! 🙂 Here are additional images of the complete set under a few different light settings.

Bonus: Here’s a quick glimpse and swatchicles of the three colors. All of them have a top coat on them as well. For the swatchicle of Gilty in direct sunlight, it’s not as bright as the direct bottle shot is since the sun was beginning to set when I took it. I’ll have better shots of this when I do my review.
